William J. Carter, D.D.S.
Dr. William J. Carter, D.D.S., M.S., has been practicing periodontics for over 29 years. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry and completed a residency program in periodontics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dr. Carter began his dental career with the U.S. Military. He served in the Dental Corps from 1972 to 1981, earning Commendations and the Meritorious Service Medal in 1981. Our Front Office:
Our front office staff have been assisting patients for many years. These are often the first members of our practice to greet and assist you.
Lynne serves as our Insurance Specialist and does billing and some appointment scheduling. She has over 20 years of experience, and will be happy to help you with insurance questions or general treatment questions.
Jennifer is our Appointment Secretary and has been with us since 1998. She assists patients with scheduling, sends reports back to referring offices, and carries out various other office duties. She is a helpful and compassionate member of our staff, and can assist you with scheduling issues. Jennifer also assists in coordinating with referring offices as our Office Relations Coordinator.
Our Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs):
Our dental assistants help to prepare patients before a procedure, provide an extra set of hands during surgery, and help give patient instructions afterwards.
Tracy has over 19 years of experience as an RDA and is Board certified to provide nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing and dental radiology. Tracy has been assisting with Dr. Carter since 2004 and is very familiar with the procedures. She will review the treatment plan that Dr. Carter recommends to ensure the patient understands the procedure as well as the financial responsibility.
She currently serves as the Clinical Relations Coordinator with the referring dental practices, by coordinating Seminars and Lunch and Learn sessions for the Doctors and staff. She works closely with Dr. Carter to help educate referring offices on the techniques and materials used in our office. Her Goal is to continually improve the clinical coordination with other practices in order to provide you with optimal care.
Jessica has completed an intensive training program at Remington College and is Board certified in Nitrous oxide monitoring and Radiology. She has been working closely with Dr. Carter for over 2 years assisting in surgical Procedures and helping to educate patients. She brings a gentle caring and compassionate attitude to our practice. Jessica will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Aimee has completed an intensive training program at Remington College and is Board certified in Nitrous oxide monitoring and Radiology. She has been working closely with Dr. Carter for over 2 years assisting in surgical Procedures and helping to educate patients. She is friendly and skilled in her duties, and strives to give optimal care to our patients.
Our Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs):
Our hygienists are well adapted at patient education and help Dr. Carter in formation of individual treatment plans. Their objectives are not only to help you maintain good oral health but also to do complete oral exams and history. They continue to raise the bar when it comes to the non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease.
Mary has been with our practice since 1989. She offers exceptional hygiene care, with particular attention to detail. Along with with periodontal cleanings and monitoring your periodontal health, Mary can answer your questions about the implications of changes to your periodontal probe readings.
Donna has been with us for over fifteen years. She strives to provide thorough periodontal maintenance care to help you keep your teeth for a lifetime. As home care is an essential ingredient to this effort, she will also work with you on ways to improve your dental hygiene at home.
Sarah Jane has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. With this experience she brings skill, knowledge and compassion to our practice. Graduating from the University of TN at Memphis with a BS in dental hygiene she strives to continually educate herself and her patients. This and her caring nature is an asset to our practice.
